When enrichment saves the most time

Consider running enrichment when:

2. Open Manage EPG → attach GridStreamr Global EPG where Xtream provider EPG is weak

Privacy and sharing

Enrichment runs on metadata — channel titles, existing logos, categories — not on video content. Shared collections still use virtual credentials; your real provider login is never exposed when you share after enrichment.

If you revoke a share, recipients lose access regardless of how polished the metadata looked.

Practical tips for large lineups

For collections approaching Premium's 2,000 entry cap:

• Enrich category by category to spread credit usage and simplify review
• Fix top 50 watched channels first; leave long-tail backups for later
• Combine with copy to collection (v2.2.4+) to build a "Display" collection with cleaned names while keeping a raw backup collection untouched
• Export XMLTV from Manage Shares so external players inherit your EPG mapping

Credits: how much enrichment costs in practice

Credit consumption depends on batch size and channel complexity — exact per-channel debit is shown before you confirm a run. As a planning rule:

• Small sports slice (30–50 channels): one pack often covers several iterative passes as you accept/reject rows
• Whole-provider import (500+ live rows): budget multiple packs or enrich in waves by category
• Re-runs after provider reshuffle: only changed or new channels need another pass if you kept a backup collection

Credits do not expire mid-subscription in normal use, but treat them like consumables: avoid blanket enrichment on channels nobody watches. The review step exists partly so you do not waste credits accepting bad logo matches on obscure backups.

• Export a test share to an external player and confirm virtual credentials still resolve — enrichment changes metadata only, not stream URLs
