How to Curate a Family-Friendly IPTV Library with Smart Collections
Use GridStreamr Smart Collections to build a kids-safe IPTV list, pick only the channels your family needs, remove adult content, and share securely without exposing your provider login.

Responsible use
GridStreamr does not provide IPTV channels, VOD, or playlists. You bring your own authorized Xtream Codes or M3U sources. You are responsible for complying with applicable terms, licenses, and local law.
Most IPTV subscriptions include thousands of channels — including content you don't want younger family members stumbling into. Smart Collections let you hand-pick only the channels that belong in a family playlist, with none of the rest.
Build your family collection
- Connect your IPTV provider as an Xtream Codes account or M3U playlist in GridStreamr.
- Create a new Smart Collection called 'Family TV' or 'Kids'.
- Browse your source, long-press the channels and categories you want (cartoons, family films, news), and add them to the collection.
- Leave everything else out — channels not in your Smart Collection simply aren't included.
- Enable AI enrichment (Premium) to standardise channel names and assign clear category tags so content is easy to browse.
Share it safely
Once your family collection is set up, share it via Manage Shares. Your children or other family members get a secure link that works in any Xtream-compatible player — only the channels you chose, with none of your actual provider login visible.
Keep it up to date
- Add seasonal content (holiday specials, school sports) to the collection anytime.
- Remove channels by long-pressing and selecting Remove from Smart Collection.
- Your share links keep working after you update the collection — no need to re-share.
