OpenSubtitles subtitle search
Search and download subtitles in dozens of languages from the player while a title plays. Sign in with your free OpenSubtitles account in Settings → General. Multi-audio selection and subtitle styling are included on Premium.
Trakt.tv scrobbling
Connect Trakt to scrobble movies and series you watch in GridStreamr, import watched history for Smart Collection badges, and filter titles you have already seen. Matching uses TMDB IDs when enrichment is available. Configure movies/series scrobble and Wi‑Fi-only options in Settings.
Jellyfin integration
Connect your self-hosted Jellyfin media server and browse its full library of movies and series inside GridStreamr with posters, cast, genres and ratings from Jellyfin. Switch subtitles and audio tracks live on iOS, Android, Android TV and Android Auto (AOSP).
AI Enhance Channels
Hosted AI renames Live TV channels, detects language, tags stream quality (HD, FHD, 4K, SD) and content type, and fills missing logos so Smart Collections show consistent names and artwork. Premium only; usage runs on AI credits you buy in the app. Third-party AI API keys are not used.
AI credit packs (in-app add-on)
Purchase add-on credit packs in the iOS or Android app to run hosted AI Enhance. Packs start at $0.99 USD for 500 credits (in-app purchase; price may vary by region or store). The AI Enhance Channels feature still requires a Premium subscription; credits cover usage on top of that.
TimeShift (Xtream archive)
Watch programmes you missed without leaving the live TV player—browse past broadcasts by day, scrub within what you missed, then jump back to live. Requires Premium and a TV archive exposed by your Xtream provider on that channel (window length varies; GridStreamr does not supply content).
Home DVR (record to your storage)
Install GridStreamr DVR on a Mac, Windows PC, Linux host, or Docker. Record live TV, movies and series to storage you own — not the cloud. Pair from the app over Wi‑Fi or control jobs remotely with Cloud Relay. Requires Premium for pairing, scheduling and job management. MultiView (up to 4 live streams)
Watch up to four live streams at once in a split-screen layout — great for sports, news desks, or monitoring multiple cameras. Tap any pane to bring it full-screen or rearrange streams on the fly. Available on iOS and Android. Requires Premium.
