Integration with TMDB
GridStreamr supports integration with The Movie Database (TMDB) so you can enrich movies and series in Smart Collections with posters and metadata when you add your own free TMDB API key in Settings → General. GridStreamr does not provide TMDB keys.
OpenSubtitles subtitle search
Search and download subtitles in dozens of languages directly from the player while a video is playing. Sign in with your free OpenSubtitles account (username and password) in Settings → General to enable this feature.
AI Live Channels Enrichment
GridStreamr uses hosted AI to automatically enrich your Live TV channels. It standardises channel names, detects the channel language, identifies stream quality (HD, FHD, 4K, SD), classifies content type (sports, news, movies, entertainment, music and more), and discovers missing channel logos so your library always looks polished. Available to Premium users; usage is powered by AI credits you buy in the app. Bring-your-own third-party API keys for AI are not used.
AI credit packs (in-app)
Purchase add-on credit packs in the iOS or Android app to run hosted AI enrichment. Packs start at $0.99 USD for 500 credits (in-app purchase; price may vary by region or store). The AI Live Channels Enrichment feature still requires a Premium subscription; credits cover usage on top of that.
TimeShift (Xtream archive)
Watch programmes you missed without leaving the live TV player—browse past broadcasts by day, scrub within what you missed, then jump back to live. Requires Premium and a TV archive exposed by your Xtream provider on that channel (window length varies; GridStreamr does not supply content).
Jellyfin integration
Connect your self-hosted Jellyfin media server and browse its full library of movies and series directly inside GridStreamr. Rich metadata — posters, cast, genres, ratings — is pulled straight from Jellyfin. Stream with full subtitle support: choose subtitle language, adjust font size live, and switch audio tracks, all without leaving the app. Available on iOS, Android and Android TV. Requires an active Premium subscription.
MultiView
Watch up to four live streams at once in a split-screen layout — great for sports, news desks, or monitoring multiple cameras. Tap any pane to bring it full-screen or rearrange streams on the fly. Available on iOS and Android. Requires Premium.
