How to Catch Up on Live TV with TimeShift in GridStreamr
TimeShift lets you browse and watch past live TV programmes, no recording needed. Here's how it works in GridStreamr and what your provider needs to support.
Responsible Use
Use GridStreamr only with content sources, playlists, metadata services, subtitle services, and AI providers you are authorized to use. You are responsible for complying with applicable terms, licenses, and local law.
Miss the first half of a match? TimeShift in GridStreamr (Premium, v2.0.6+) lets you rewind to the beginning of a live broadcast and watch from there, as long as your Xtream provider exposes a TV archive for that channel.
Requirements
- GridStreamr v2.0.6 or later on iOS or Android.
- An active Premium subscription.
- An Xtream Codes source where the channel's archive is exposed by your provider.
How to use TimeShift
- Open GridStreamr and start a live channel from an Xtream Codes source.
- Tap the TimeShift button in the player controls.
- Browse past programmes grouped by day.
- Tap any programme to start from its beginning.
- Use the scrub bar to jump within the programme.
- Tap 'Back to Live' to return to the current broadcast.
TimeShift with Smart Collections
TimeShift works with channels in Smart Collections too. Merge live TV from multiple Xtream providers into one Smart Collection and use TimeShift on any channel that has archive support, all from the same interface.
