Responsible use

GridStreamr does not provide IPTV channels, VOD, or playlists. You bring your own authorized Xtream Codes or M3U sources. You are responsible for complying with applicable terms, licenses, and local law.

GridStreamr DVR records live TV, movies and series to storage you own. Files stay private; the phone app (Premium) pairs over Wi‑Fi or controls jobs remotely with Cloud Relay. Download installers from gridstreamr.com/download/dvr.

macOS and Windows

  1. Download the installer for Apple silicon, Intel Mac, or Windows x64.
  2. Run the installer. It registers an auto-start background service bound on port 8787.
  3. Open the dashboard at http://127.0.0.1:8787.
  4. In GridStreamr (Premium): Settings → DVR → LAN → Find on Wi‑Fi, then enter the one-time pairing code.

Linux

Docker is the simplest path. To run the binary as a systemd service, install Go 1.26+, Node 20+, and FFmpeg, then use sudo ./packaging/linux/install.sh.

Docker

Pick gridstreamr/gridstreamr-dvr-amd64:latest or gridstreamr/gridstreamr-dvr-arm64:latest. Mount host folders to /data and /recordings, publish port 8787, then pair with Premium. Sample compose is on the DVR download page.

Cloud Relay and uninstall

In the app: Settings → DVR → Cloud → Link a DVR. macOS uninstall: sudo gridstreamr-dvr-uninstall. Windows: Settings → Apps → GridStreamr DVR.
