New features

AI channel filter for Live TV (Android TV)

MobileAndroid TV

A Filter button in the Live TV browse header lets you narrow channels by Category, Quality (HD / 4K / SD), and Language. Filters use OR within each group and AND across groups. The button only appears when AI enrichment is active for that playlist.

Find exactly the sports, news, or entertainment channels you want without scrolling through thousands of entries.

Cinematic home layout on tablets

MobileAndroid TV

Tablets in portrait now show the full side-by-side hero layout — a full-bleed image with gradient overlay and the services strip alongside, matching the landscape experience. Landscape phones keep their existing layout unchanged.

The home screen looks and feels native on your tablet whether you hold it portrait or landscape.

Jellyfin playback method tracking

MobileAndroid TV

GridStreamr now reports the correct delivery method — Direct Play, Direct Stream, or Transcode — to your Jellyfin server during playback. Progress sync and resume behaviour align with what Jellyfin expects from a first-class client.

Watch history and resume points stay accurate in your Jellyfin dashboard.

EPG 24-hour clock (Android TV)

MobileAndroid TV

All EPG time displays across the Live TV browser, mini guide overlay, catch-up view, and passive EPG panel now respect your device's 24-hour clock setting.

Times appear in the format you prefer, consistently, everywhere in the guide.

EPG reliability improvements

MobileAndroid TV

Unified date parsing across GridStreamr and Xtream EPG models fixes edge-case timestamp mismatches from some providers. Catch-up URL generation is more accurate and shared playlist timezone offsets are now passed through correctly to third-party players.

Fewer missing guide entries and more reliable catch-up playback, especially for providers with non-standard timezone settings.
